Summer Show #1 Re-cap & Other Competition Results

Hello All!

This past Friday was our first Summer Evening Fix-A-Test & Jumper show at the farm. We had a great turnout and hope that everyone had fun (despite having to move the jumper show to the grass due to flooding in our outdoor arena). Special thanks to show secretary Stacie, dressage judge Meghan Truppner, Darenth Farm for making us part of your camp, and all of our many wonderful volunteers! We couldn't have done it without you! Our 2nd Summer Evening show will be held Friday July 31st. If you couldn't make it to the first one, be sure to come to our July show for all the fun! Tell your friends!

Weekend Show Results, Upcoming Clinics!

Hello Everyone!

This past weekend was the type of weather that we have been dreaming about/waiting for all winter. It was absolutely gorgeous here in Maryland and a great weekend for horse showing!

Glenda took PL Irish Pearl and KA Clover to the MCTA horse trials . Clover was going for the experience at the Novice-level and Pearl was going as a confidence-booster after her last event.  Pearl felt great and was 9th going into cross-country in a very competitive Open Training division. She had one stop on cross-country and a little time, but what matters is that she was able to make it around and re-build her confidence for her next event. We love how careful she is and how she always takes each jump into consideration to keep herself and her rider safe.

Clover did exceptionally well for her second Novice event ever, and finished in 6th place with a little bit of time on cross-country. Glenda is so happy with how this mare has taken to eventing and is really excited to see her progress up the levels!

Also, we want to remind everyone of the great events we have coming up, starting with our spring C.O.R.E. Rider Clinic on May 17th! These clinics are always a lot of fun and very enlightening. Email Erinn at: emurphy@arbee.net to sign-up today!

Exciting news! On Friday May 1st, PL Calipso had her foal! This filly is by PL Diamond Hill, making her a full sibling to PL Irish Calib (who has competed through the Preliminary-level with a young rider). We will be looking for names for this cute girl soon, so start thinking!

And our summer evening schooling shows are sure to be a ton of fun! Come practice a dressage fix-a-test of choice and school some stadium jumping rounds too. We are also making it a little happy hour with light refreshments and snacks. Other beverages are BYOB ;) These will take place June 19th, July 31st, August 21st.
