Exciting Stuff Happening at Playland!!

Good Afternoon Everyone!

With summer coming to an end, some of the Playland horses & riders went to The Maryland Horse Trials last week to compete in their final Twilight Eventing. Everyone did really well and came home with big Smiles. Glenda even took Pearl out to play around the Novice course, loving every minute of it! Thanks to Maya for snapping these photos with your phone!

Great Weekend at Playland!!

This past weekend we had a lot going on at the farm! Friday evening was our final Summer Schooling Show for the year and once again, we had a great turnout. Thank you to everyone that came to participate! The weather was amazing and everyone had fun. Special thanks to our secretary Stacie, our wonderful volunteers and our photographer Maya Kuntze! Here are a few photos from the show: 

On Sunday we had the annual Carrolton Roading of the Hounds. We had a good group of riders that came to participate and everyone had a good time! Maya also took photos for us of the day so enjoy!

LAST DAY to sign-up for a Fix-a-Test!

Hi everyone! Just a friendly reminder that TODAY is the last day to email secretary Stacie and sign-up for a Dressage Fix-a-Test at this Friday's Summer Evening Schooling Show.  We only have a limited number of spaces due to fitting everything in during daylight. We are REALLY excited for our final show of the summer and we hope to see you there!

For the Jumper Show portion of Friday, the jumps WILL BE in our lower outdoor arena (*Not in the grass*)! Riders can pre-register or sign-up on Friday for jumper classes. We will begin the jumper show portion at 5:00pm with the 12-18" division first.

Another Playland Horse Shines (this time, in the Tevis!)

Hello!

We absolutely love getting updates on former Playland horses and how well they are doing. Normally we share a lot about our more recent graduates, but today we have an older Playland resident which really shines!

Did you know: The oldest horse entered in the Tevis 100 was the 24-year-old Arabian gelding PL MERCURY (AM Autumn Mead x Playland Lady {Al-Marah Milton}) ridden by Lisa Downs.

Mercury and Lisa finished 14th! Mercury has 4565 lifetime miles and finished 6th in 2010. He is owned by Claire Godwin and was bred by Playland Equestrian Center. How cool is that?!

Way to go Lisa & Mercury!

Good afternoon,

We just wanted to take a quick minute to thank everyone for another great show at the farm! We had a wonderful turnout and hope that everyone enjoyed themselves. (We even had a few compliments on how fun our jumping courses were!)
