What a weekend! Thank you to Laine Ashker!

Hello everyone!

The Laine Ashker clinic has come and gone and we wanted to take a minute to thank everyone who braved the 'less-than-ideal weather' to come out and ride or audit with Laine. We truly enjoyed having her here at Playland, and by the looks of it, everyone else did too! We can't wait until she comes back again sometime in the future.  If you have photos or video from the clinic and want to share them on our Facebook page with your thoughts, we would love to see them! *Up Next for Playland is Glenda's C.O.R.E. Rider Clinic on March 15th! Although the mounted lesson spots are FULL, there are still spots open for the Un-mounted portion of the clinic (aka "riders yoga!!") It's only $35/person for an hour and a half session so email Erinn today to sign-up! *

Playland Updates for this week!

Hello Everyone!

We hope that you are staying warm out there with these below zero temperatures & windchills! YUCK! Mother nature hasn't been too kind to us here in Maryland, and it doesn't look like it's getting any warmer any time soon.

As you may have already seen, we had to sadly cancel our C.O.R.E. Rider Clinic that was supposed to be held yesterday. Temperatures were just too miserable! The good news is, we are having another one on Sunday, March 15th and would encourage people to come out for that one! If you were signed up for the previous one and want to sign-up for March, you can email Erinn at emurphy@arbee.net to do so.

Later this week, we have the Laine Ashker Clinic coming up at the farm! Keep you fingers and toes crossed that the weather holds up and we can get Laine here to Maryland! We have three days full of exciting things planned in addition to the lessons, including a basket of goodies to raffle off at the end of the weekend. Stay tuned to our Facebook page and website for all the latest announcements regarding the clinic.

We are also really excited about one of our youngsters for sale, PL Diamond's Inspiration (aka Izzy)! Before the really cold weather set in, Glenda was able to saddle and ride Izzy for the FIRST TIME and she was great! She took to it like an old pro and is already showing the perfect "lesson horse qualities" someone would want. She is eager to please and gives all her effort during the ride! Quick congrats to Louisa!

We wanted to send a quick congratulations to Louisa W. and her horse, PL Lucky Empress, for their 6th place finish in Beginner Novice Rider at the Ocala Horse Properties Winter 2 Horse Trials.

Clinics, Clinics & More Clinics!!

Happy Monday everyone!

This morning we want to make sure we talk a little bit more about the great clinics we have in store for you at Playland.

First up in two weeks is the first C.O.R.E. Rider clinic, to be held February 15th. Then, we have another one to be held March 15th. These interactive clinics feature un-mounted & mounted riding sessions which allow participants to explore all aspects of their riding and become more aware of what they are doing and how their horse responds to it. These clinics are very personalized and can only accept a certain number of participants, so if you were thinking of trying one, don't hesitate! Email Erinn at emurphy@arbee.net to sign-up today!

The third weekend in February, we are thrilled to have Advanced-level eventer, Lainey Ashker coming to teach! She will be here Friday the 20th through Sunday the 22nd and we can't wait! She will be teaching flat lessons on Friday and small group jumping on Saturday and Sunday. You can email Margaret at margaret@mythiclanding.com to sign-up today!

Another exciting aspect is that auditing is FREE for all of these clinics! We are also hosting an open house for Playland on each of these clinic dates, so stop on out and bring your friends! Auditing for the CORE Clinics starts with the mounted sessions. Auditing for Lainey is open all day Saturday & Sunday and Friday afternoon.  (We will provide more information on specific auditing times as these events get closer!)

February is going to be an exciting month for Playland, we hope to see you at the farm!
